This blog will be going away very soon and will be integrated into our new site! Our old, super crappy website is finally getting changed over to a real site. It's going to be amazing. There will be content that you can only find there. Promos and commercials that we've never put on youtube or facebook....AND...even test footage, deleted scenes, sketches...all kinds of stuff. I actually went back to the old masters of Tony vs. Paul and found some cool deleted scenes and the original intro when it was called "Paul vs. Tony" So...keep a look out for that in the next few weeks.
Also, if you need to find us anywhere else for the time being, please do so by going here:

We'll have a twitter soon. I know, I know...we've gotta succumb.

Two older (GoGurt) commercials that we did.
I never posted these. I dunno why....But anyway, here are two commercials that we did sometime last year. Yes, we are aware that skateboarding on top of someone has been done before (in our films and in a popular ad campaign). We were asked to do this...so we did. Blah blah blah...

Here is the McDonald's Commercial!
Holy shit, I actually got an HD copy of this and put it online. I never thought I'd see the day, but here it is.
104 unique outfits.
No green screens (except for the TV in the background).
All real sets.
An awesome actor that could hold the pose so fucking well.
I've just finished the directors cut for the Shoe Carnival spot as well, so I'm gonna post that tomorrow! For now, here is the McDonald's commercial we directed.

The Proximus Commercial!
Woohoo! It's online. Check it out!
The commercial should make it pretty clear as to what is supposed to happen, but if not I've made some posts below all about it. So...check those out as well. And help out this cool project...you can be in a commercial! IN BELGIUM. Don't pretend that's not awesome.

Shoe Carnival Commercial...and other stuff
Hello Hello,
Last week Tony and I directed commercial for "Shoe Carnival" in NashVille TN (home of our friends in The Gabe Dixon Band!). We are editing it now, and it looks great! It should be on the air/online in a few weeks, and I will post it when it ends up there (online that is). It was a really tough one-day shoot, but we got it all in, and I think everyone will be happy with the finished product. There are plenty of picture on our facebook page. So, check em out!
The McDonald's commercial is online at kachew.com in our reel's section, but I'm still waiting for a high-res version that I can post online.
The Proximus air-date got pushed back about a week, so we should be able to see the first phase of that online by the end of this week, or early next week.
Hmm...I guess we don't have anything else lined up next, except for a personal project of ours, and a couple maybes, and meetings, and pitches and blah blah blah.
More soon...!

The story with the "Proximus" Commercial
OK, this job for Proximus (cell phone company in Belgium), was probably one of the most interesting we've ever been involved in. It will be a long time before we see the completed project because the spot itself has 3 phases. Allow me to explain...
Phase 1) Tony and I go to Belgium and direct a commercial. If all goes according to plan, this commercial is never seen. Weird, right? Well the reason is is that...
Phase 2) The entire commercial is rotoscoped (turned into a line animation), and that, with an explanation is aired on TV, cinema, online etc... Which brings me to...
Phase 3) Users/viewers/anyone is invited to pick or frame (or better yet, multiple frames!) and recreate them. Some scenes take place in specific locations in Brussels, but others are more generic.
So basically when the commercial is done we are left with a spot containing 100's of people in 100's of different places, essentially recreating the original commercial we shot in phase 1. Pretty cool, right?!?
Perhaps this image will explain.

As you can see phase 3 has not yet been completed. Hell, phase 2 hasn't even aired yet. I'll post it when it shows up online (I think it's in a few weeks?), and if you are interested check out the site (I'll post that when I have it as well), and recreate some frames!

Belgium
Well, Tony and I are going to Belgium to direct a commercial for "Proximus." We are extremely excited about it. We leave next week and return a few weeks later. The project is extremely involved and I will write more about it later. It will span a few months at the very least...when all is said and done.
Still waiting for the goddamn McDonald's commercial to end up online. Apparently it's on TV...we haven't seen it though!
